IELTS COMPUTER BASED EXAM TEST

The test experience for IELTS on computer is a little different from IELTS on paper. When you choose computer-delivered IELTS, you take the Listening, Reading and Writing components using a desktop computer.

Listening :

The Listening practice test consists of 6 question types and 24 questions including:

  • Multiple choice
  • Matching
  • Plan/map/diagram labelling
  • Note completion
  • Short answer questions

Reading :

The Reading practice test consists 11 question types and 41 questions including:

  • Multiple choice
  • Identifying information
  • Note completion
  • Matching headings
  • Matching sentence endings
  • Summary completion
  • Sentence completion
  • Flow-chart completion

Speaking :

The Speaking test remains the same for both – Academic and General Training. When you take IELTS on computer, the Speaking test remains face-to-face with a certified IELTS examiner. Test duration for Speaking test is 11-14 minutes.

Writing :

The Writing practice test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1: You will be asked to write 150 words and spend about 20 minutes on this task. Task 2: You will be asked to write 250 words and spend about 40 minutes on this task.
